Tha Geeks

Tha Geeks are a group hailing from Cleveland Heights, OH, consisting of Evan Edwards, Sam Collins and Merrick Presser. All three touch the mic and keep it moving.... I think I am starting to reconsider the music scene in Cleveland. Like I always say, underground is where it's at!

They just dropped a 20-track project called "Lava Lamp" ...and the production is on point for it!

In the Land of Cleve

"Using a Nintendo DSi and the Korg DS-10 synthesizer I made the soundtrack for the time she and I had spent in the land of Cleve..."

Now, Red Sky Phenomenon is not a Cleveland native, however, Red Sky does have and album dedicated to the time spent in our city. It is not hip hop, but it is funky. It must just be the way I think, but I can see a remix of this entire project with some nice percussion layered over it.....but only time will tell on that bit. All in all, I think the project was a great success, and once again, it is not the machine--it's the man.

Making Due

Apparently Billy Hoyle can't jump, but Qoutes Dawson can flow. Here is a 10-track project put out by the up and coming artist with a vintage 90's feel and the gumption to make it work. I haven't met to many people in the area that have not been imitating Waka Flaka or swagging and jerking, so to be able to have a little refreshing music to soothe my hungry music appetite is very pleasing. If Mac Miller rapped in the 90's, I think this would be the product..... so fire up them speakers and get ready for some classic vibes.

I Need a Believer

Hip Hop music in 2011= jerkin', going ham, autotuning, featuring Drake, etc.....but I digress.

God's Child drops a track that encourages positivity and supporting good music.
